It's question day! Since the beginning of the week I reviewed a fairy tale-like romance book my question this week is on fairy tales.
Most children grow-up on fairy tales and their ideals, but should we be raising children on these images? What is it doing to our world and our children?

What's the context of the reading? Is it presented as a story as opposed to reality? Is it posed as a parable, which it is, with lessons to learn for everyone? Are the kids told to ask questions? Don't just accept it as the truth on its face. One of the best parts of a story is that it uses fiction to tell the truth.
